While many dishes receive high praises, some customers have encountered inconsistency in certain items. For example, a few diners expressed disappointment with the biryani, describing it as lacking in flavor or being a bit overcooked. Additionally, during peak hours, service can slow down as the restaurant fills to capacity, especially on busy weekend nights, leading to longer wait times for food. Some patrons also wish for a more extensive vegetarian menu, given the prominence of meat-based offerings. These feedback points are valuable for anyone considering a visit, as they highlight the areas where Mazaa can improve.
Both curries were very good, lamb kebab was so-so, mint sauce is tasty. Portions are so big. All on the photo cost less then £50: two portions of rice, naan, two curries, chips, salad, samosas
The food was average. I ordered biryani and it was basically pea rice with chicken and a bit old. The mutton curry was also okay, but not worth visiting specifically for it. However, the sauces were good and the packing was professional.
Outstanding food, and just as good as my last visit over 6 years ago 5 stars from me. Update....... It's finally reopened ! And it is just as good as it always has been, ignore the 1 star reviews they are clearly from other businesses in the area who are clearly not as good as Mazza !!
I'm on a zero carb diet and called here for dinner after the football. The Mazaa special - Lamb Shish, Chicken Tikka Shish, Lamb Kofteh, Doner and salad was perfect! Service v friendly. They didn't take payment until after the meal. Priced reasonably too; £12 for a large mixed Kebab. Will be going back here for sure.
If you haven't eaten from here then why not? The good is grade A. and the lamb chops are worth the wait. Stunning late night food that tastes amazing. Even at 3 am the tables are taken and the open kitchen is none stop like a Friday tea time. I'm never disappointed. Did I mention how good the lamb chops are?. 😂
Wow! The chicken tikka shishlik was outstanding. The bread it was served on was sooooo soft and clearly freshly, lovingly made. Chicken - great heat, flavour. And served with some sauces and side salad. All at a good price and served by friendly staff. I WILL BE BACK!
Have visited Mazaa with friends plenty of times. Food is always really nice. I recommend the mix shashlick and the lamb karahi. Unfortunately they made a mistake on the order but mistakes happen to us all. I would say to repeat back your order to make sure everything is fine :)
